Meet Chris Hughes — Founder of GolfStrategyZone.com
I’m Chris, and I’ve been hooked on golf for about 30 years. My dad introduced me and my two older brothers to the game when I was young, growing up in upstate New York. While most kids my age were inside playing video games, I was getting dropped off at the local course in the morning and picked up when it got dark — just grinding on my game for hours.
These days, my game isn’t quite what it used to be. I’m a new dad, and between diaper changes and tee times, I’m slowly working my way back. The best part? I’m already scheming ways to get my daughter interested in the game so I have a built-in playing partner for life.
GolfStrategyZone started almost by accident. I built a golf fan page on Facebook that took off. That page grew into this site.
Going forward, I’m excited to start documenting local courses here in Florida and eventually courses around the world — giving you an on-the-ground look at places worth playing.
