LIV Golf’s Talor Gooch garnered attention by stating his intention to skip the qualifying rounds for the 2024 U.S. Open.
For the upcoming PGA Championship, Gooch no longer needs to find his way in. He shared on social media Monday afternoon that he received an invitation to Valhalla Golf Club in Louisville, Kentucky, for the second men’s major of the year from the PGA of America.
Fellow LIV golfer Joaquin Niemann aims to secure a spot in the USGA national championship through qualifying. Additionally, he has garnered a PGA invitation for the year 2024.
Doug Ferguson from the Associated Press mentioned that the PGA of America is expected to unveil the 2024 field on Tuesday. Gooch is confirmed to be one of the 156 golfers participating in the event.
Looking forward to Valhalla next week!
