Top 5 Golf Snacks for the Course

by | May 9, 2024 | Uncategorized | 0 comments

A typical round of golf can stretch over four hours, and it’s not uncommon to need a snack or two to keep your energy up. Here’s a list of my top five favorite snacks to bring along on the golf course. Feel free to share your own favorites or give these a try during your next game!

1. Fresh Fruit:
Fruits like bananas and apples are easy to eat and carry, making them one of the healthiest snacks for golfers on the move. Be cautious with juicier fruits like oranges or peaches, though, as they can be messy and might affect your grip.

2. Beef Jerky:
Beef jerky is an excellent choice for the golf course. It’s a high-protein, low-fat snack with a long shelf life, and it doesn’t require any preparation. Plus, most jerky comes in re-sealable bags, so you can snack as you play without any waste.

3. Sunflower Seeds:
While more commonly associated with baseball, sunflower seeds are also great for golf. They’re perfect for keeping you occupied during slower moments of the game. Just be considerate about where you spit the shells; no one likes to find them on the green!

4. Protein/Granola Bars:
A good snack bar can give you a much-needed energy boost. There are many options out there, from meal replacement bars to lighter snacks. I personally enjoy granola bars for a quick and easy energy lift that keeps me focused through the late holes.

5. Candy Bars:
Sometimes, you just want something sweet. Candy bars like Milky Way or Snickers are my guilty pleasure on the course. They provide a quick sugar boost, but they can melt quickly, so it might be best to enjoy them early in the game.

Do you have any go-to snacks when you’re golfing? I’m always looking for new ideas, so hit me up with your favorites!
